Never understood this either, or for that matter the total prohibition on drinking while driving.

I think it's safe to say no team was interested in giving up even a 7th for him, which is not surprising. He hasn't shown any indication of being a good QB on the field and his personal life is a disaster.
Can you show me where the law states that any of these illegal acts are punishable by physical force up to broken bones?
Who else from his generation of QBs? (And this is the NFL in 2016, so non-QBs need not apply). Andrew Luck looks Ike he was overrated, although maybe he’ll bounce back. Russell Wilson is probably most likely to challenge Cam Newton, depending on how well the Seahawks can stay successful.
I do think that the frequent glitches match up well with the overall stupidity of Simms. I was playing a game where I went for it on 4th down because I was losing in the 4th quarter, converted, and Simms said something about how that failure was probably going to cost me the game and he didn't understand why I'd go…
I realize this might be condemning them with faint praise, but Michaels/Collinsworth are superior to any current broadcast team I can think of.
And a 12+ year old ES300 is worth only a few thousand dollars, so what it cost over a decade ago when whoever bought it new paid for it is irrelevant.
So how much of a vow of poverty do you deem necessary before you’ll engage someone on policy rather than calling them a hypocrite? Like, would it be enough if he lived the life of the bottom 10% in America, or are we taking starvation level poverty here?
An early 2000s Lexus ES is not only a rebadged Camry, but it’s worth probably $3-6k depending on year, condition, and options. What a hypocrite, driving around in such a fancy vehicle.
This is why I neither want children nor want to travel overseas.
Hmm. Daily fantasy sports gets an immediate cease and desist; the NFL and Ticketbastard get a 3-year investigation where the AG says he thinks they’re doing something wrong, but lets them continue indefinitely.
You know, if the NBA is an entertainment product, I bet it could be even more entertaining if they eliminated or changed some other rules. That pesky dribbling is interfering with highlight-reel plays? Get rid of it! Why, I bet with enough rule changes we could have something that’s exciting AND bears no resemblance…
The problem with football is that the chronic subconcussive hits are at least as much of a problem as the concussions. Concussions can be partially mitigated by better treatment for them; the subconcussive hits cannot.
I was really amazed at how the car-buying process went for us. It was my first time buying new and my first time buying from a dealer at all, and my wife hadn’t bought a car in almost a decade and probably got screwed when she did buy hers, so I did a lot of research and got ready for a fight.
I don’t agree that they are reaming buyers, but yeah, their no-haggle pricing means they make more on the sale than the average used car dealer, so I'm not sure why they would be more pushy about a warranty than other sellers.
I used to be the same as you right up until my most recent car. I had a Camry and 2 Corollas (and my wife’s Yaris) that consistently did better than the EPA numbers. We averaged 39+ MPG in her Yaris on a road trip out East that included lots of 75-80 mph highway driving and also a trip up Mt Washington.
So, gas is pretty cheap these days. Let’s say I had the time and resources to rent a tanker truck and hoard gasoline. Is there anything preventing me from pulling my big rig into the local Citgo and filling up my tanker with 3000 gallons of gas at $1.80 per gallon, and saving it up for the summer when the price gets…
I hate when the decision is presented like this. It may be rational to go for it on 4th and 1 or not, but it’s not about thinking you can’t pick up the 4th down. It’s about weighing the chances of picking up that 4th down against the chances of scoring on another drive. Also, in this case it wasn't 4th and goa,…
I didn’t understand that, either. He’s your starting QB next season and he’s already torn an ACL before. Imagine if he got hurt on a meaningless play at the end and missed part of next season.
Mike McCarthy should be grateful he still has a job after all of his mismanagement. He’s been handed the best QB in the league and has continually underachieved.
