the name of the fair wasn’t officially changed to Fair Saint Louis until 1992.

Does that guy’s business advertise with the local paper? The quick way to tell is if he has a bunch of frame “Best BBQ\fine dining\fast casual restaurant” awards from that paper framed behind the hostess stand. I’m guessing these two items are related.

I had a friend who worked as a server and bartender who used to rail against anyone who didn’t leave 20% as the starting point. She would be outraged if she had a table that she felt she treated great and they “only” tipped 20%. (Let’s leave aside that she wasn’t as great at hiding her true feeling with a realistic

Completely agree with how backwards the PS Plus stuff is.

It’s nuts how often they try to sell you PS Plus when you already have it.

Thanks, DW. It didn’t occur to me to scroll the list to get to the Subscriptions link.

Thank you! Of course the “subscriptions” tab/link is off the screen on my iPhone, so I have to scroll over the Latest, Collections, Deals and PS5 links to even see it.

How do you claim these damn games on the iOS “PS app”? Because I swear I did it one month and thought “wow that was easy and convenient” and now every time I try clicking on “PS Plus” in the store section of the app, it just takes me to the web browser inside the app and shows me the webpage for it.

The best part about the “kids are soft/weak these days” argument is that it has literally been going on for the entirety of human history.

I’m with you.

Thanks for saving me from clicking through the slides and learning nothing.

I traveled outside the US for work a lot for my job. Based on those experiences, I tell people “If I meet an Arab, I don’t assume they hate Jews. If I meet an Israeli, I wouldn’t assume they hate Arabs. If I meet an Irish Catholic, I don’t presume they hate the British. But if I meet a white South African, that guy

I was in the Air Force for an enlistment that included 9/11. A month after, we were deploying, as a unit, for some training exercises where our travel was a chartered Southwest jet. (somehow it’s cheaper for the Air Force to rent commercial jets for moving people, I guess?)

If there are other kids in there and they rush in with guns drawn that is exponentially more reckless.

I agree on all points. I was excited, but am now a little bummed

Exactly. It’s really hard to believe that Gearbox doesn’t really care, but it truly worried they can’t get the best employees if this passes, so they had to speak out to preserve their bottom line.

Every school restroom I’ve ever seen has exactly one way and one way out. There’s never accessible windows because they don’t want to give unsupervised kids a chance to sneak off and ditch school. So if you truly think that you’ve got someone cornered and they have a gun, why the fuck do you run in there? He’s not

Hell, man, now I want to know where your cat goes. Set up a go fund me and I’ll send you $25 right now.

There was someone who was on Bill Simmons old ESPN podcast, I can’t remember how exactly unfortunately so [citation needed], but they said that once they saw Khloe Kardashian on an NBA court with whoever she was dating at the time and he said that he’d images of her on tv and in pictures many times before, but in

I think Barbra was the victim, even though it was self-inflicted.
