The reasonable stance here is that the Pelican’s management is shitty (they have not built a good team around him despite having him for all these years and apparently are all football fans first) and, yet, that it’s perfectly reasonable that they didn’t accept a bunch of nickles for a dollar.

I really like this feature, it gives me a lot of interesting, informed insight into a subject I know nothing about.

Not to discount or challenge the main point of your comment, but that is a screen shot from It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia and not from the movie Pacific Rim.

You’re right, there will be fans who think that “a bunch of millionaires getting paid to play a game” are being greedy and potentially stop watching MLB. And while that doesn’t help the players out, long term it hurts them a lot less than it hurts the owners.

I’m all for players free agency, but the narrative that the Pelicans are just being obstructive dicks because they didn’t let Anthony Davis walk to the fucking Los Angeles Lakers is tiresome.

The first time it’s just kind of silly, of a piece with the rest of Trials humor which revolves around seeing the crash-test dummy body of your driver brutalized every time you screw up a jump or a landing. The kid definitely didn’t stand up to Westbrook and if anything, the dad

The Favourite was an incredibly well acted movie, and I enjoyed it a lot. But I don’t know about it being the most historically accurate out of group of nominated films “based on true events.” Based on how much intrigue there is in the film, there’s no way half of that could have ever been publicly recorded. And

I have both. Blue spiky balls and wool dryer balls.

Apparently the career path parabola is:

You know, this was the argument that AT&T used to make when it was having it’s monopoly broken up. “One bill! All your services under one account!” I don’t know if you remember paying for long distance phone calls by the minute, but I’ll take the option of having a competing services around even with it’s marginal

It also makes it much easier for them to accidentally charge you $100 instead of $10 without you noticing.

Thanks for that.

Yes. No.
