This is how it always is. The youngins’ are always lazy fucks until they do something substantial, in which case they’re naive and clueless and should go back to their textings and vidya’ games.
It’s funny.....all the adults who for years have shit upon Millenials (now adults) and other kids....complaining they’re lazy, selfish, absorbed in their phones, have no direction, don’t vote, don’t care about issues etc etc.

It’s not othering if you choose it yourself. They are modern people with modern sensibilities, and if they chose contemporary artists as a matter of breaking the mold, supporting Black and American artists, that’s claiming your ground, not ceding it.

I agree on Michelle - and I think what people are picking up on as “that doesn’t look like her” is that there is a trace of pain in her face. The visuals we’re used to of Michelle are expansive warmth and poise. This is steely grace. She is not yours, and was never yours. There isn’t a smile in sight.
Really... is that the message we’re gonna send out to our young girls... that teenage pregnancy is something “cool” and “exciting”to aspire to.
