I hope too the mighty atheismo that the Batman v Superman movie flops so we are spared the horrible inevitable sequels and follow ups. But Atheismo hates me which means the movies will be an inevitable success and we are cursed with a fascist Batman and a fascist Superman which means that heroism is truly dead.

Actually what I hate is the fact that they seem not to even try doing Superman except for the bullshit "deconstruction" that is not intelligent and done to death since it is never actually written by people who have read the comics. What you are talking about exists in the comics and no, he is not holier than thou.

Any self respecting and critical thinking bat-fan admits his limitation and the fact that Arrow is not about Green Arrow but just another way of Warner Bros. to sell the same shit they have for the past decade (Batman) in another format.

Well there is the entirety of Alistair Reynolds work in Revelation Space that has every all mark of the space opera subgenre so no.

Is it just me who is deeply terrified of anything live action Superhero related coming out from Warner Bros.?

Is it just me who still thinks we have absolutly no idea whatsoever what the future will look like except that it will be different? I mean this list assumes that we know for certain how the future will look like but just in case present this list like these options are less likely then whatever bullshit future who

Yes! Holy! He has solved the issue of meaning of life..... That of course is one of many already stated by philosophers for the last 200 years. Since what he is saying is more of less that you create your own meaning in life. I hate that this is somehow portrayed as radical or new when take up any philosophy textbook

I just want to say thank you for exposing this obvisious flaw in his entire argument :D

Goldberg's Liberal Fascism is propaganda work that has no useful information in it what so ever. And HG Wells was not racist in fact he was every much against eugenics because he felt that it misunderstood how individuality worked and in many of his books he expressed very much a belief in the ridiculesness of racism

I have a personal problem with Superman Returns because 1, he would never just go to the island made of Kryptonite and get stabbed. He would fight back. 2, the movie just want to ripp off the best part from the 1978 version therefore it added nothing of value except being a trip down memory lane of a much better movie

I personally hate Man of Steel because everyone mistakes what is wrong about it, the problem for example is not that he succeeds to lure or drag Zod someplace else but that he does not even try. While we see him rescue people, it is for no real reason except he is Superman (I at least want to him become Superman if I

Thank you for that backhanded compliment when I tried to end things nice. I feel as though you have critical thought of nothing in our exchange but kept to your dogmatic position like a bible thumper. I offered a hand to give you en opportunity to explain clearly what you meant and you insult me. Thank you.

1. That is almost every single work of science fiction through time you have just described.

That has been my point all along that we almost always have had both in the work that we enjoy to read therefore it becomes meaningless to say that this specific work is somehow more "hard" then this other work because the enjoyable elements are hopefully existent in both or non existent in any of them.

I do not really see the point of you showing me this old comic considering that, yes this argument is old but ultimately pointless because Jules Verne stories were just as much about telling interesting stories with good characters and points as HG Wells did actually offer plenty explanations for the science in his

You are really ignoring my as well as the authors point which is that what you consider hard SF to be as a genre is not a genre except in your own head. And if you want that I have no issue and you can keep repeating that we, very obviously, do not control writers. But it does not change the fact that as a fellow fan

As far as I personally see it, the problem is that every sub genre of science fiction can be hard or "soft" therefore they are meaningless terms where we should use other signfiers such as military, space opera or others. But I agree that all the sub genres blur together into a cobweb rather then being neatly stacked

Not really feeling it is a harmless fantasy when it pretty much has always led to mass murders and brutal repressions and generally stupidity. I feel it is a very harmful fantasy that ignores massive evidence and in the end makes people not really understand why it is a horrible systems of governance.

Since when in New 52 is Superman dating Lois and not Wonder Woman? And that looks more like Diana then Lois he is kissing

I find this article funny considering that this site constantly seems to hold that a supreme "sooper intelligence" (Dale Carricos word) will come in the future. You have to do much more interspection before writing an article criticising new age bullshit in science fiction on this site.
