That blogger has lower intelligence than that of a dead squirrel. The problem is that someone at whoever owns gizmodo these days “hired” them for peanuts and expects any sort of intelligence to come out. And they’re thinking “well golly!!! someone hired me, my opinion may mean something”. But you can’t fix stupid.

Or go to a place that doesn’t get customers like that, or find a job that does not rely on tips. Or simply learn to live with it. Tipping is NOT mandatory. If it’s my restaurant and I catch you not taking care of the customers (even if they’re not tipping you) - you’re fired.

American schools are just ridiculous. In my day (barefoot in the snow, uphill both ways and all that) we went to school for 5 hours per day TOTAL including breaks and all that. By 8th grade I knew more than US college freshmen (which is not saying much I guess) .... and I was not the brightest kid on the block either.

Here’s a novel idea - don’t tip anyone! You use services provided by people/companies - these same people/companies charge you for these services whatever the going rate it - you agreed to that rate and paid it. Case closed!
