I never understood that. Too much free time. I understand it if a person is bedridden, or otherwise ill .. but otherwise ... Who says that?

$60 for a light bulb? Yes, yes, I know, it does things, and it’s cheaper with this deal. But for $60 unless that bulb does the dishes, or cooks me dinner - that’s too freaking much money. But I guess there’s tons of people who spend tons of money on really, truly frivolous stuff.

A) Walking is not commuting. Sorry. If you can get to your work by walking you’re incredibly lucky and you should cherish it and also everyone else hates your guts with envy. But it’s not a commute.
This is true in so many aspects. I know people who are deep in debt, yet they’ll lease the newest BMW. Also people who are probably $100 away from food stamps, yet they go to concerts and go to restaurants that I only stare at, and my balls go to my stomach when I see the menu prices. And yes, especially in LA where a…
Because congress is run by complete and utter morons that in most cases probably haven’t even sent an email in their life, much less understand how any other technology works.
Losing a loved one is never easy. But you can need less of these than you think. Most places (cable bills, online places, some banks, etc.) you can close accounts either over the phone or online. Even if you do not have the password (which can happen especially if sudden passing) - you can call (or online) and present…
“Hopefully” , but it’s not. Most people I know would go “Oh! This pays $10K more than my current gig” and go there. Not thinking that they will now have to work 16 hours more per week and their lunch break consists of devouring some nutrition bar while continuing to stare at a monitor. Or you can be called upon on…
Exactly this! If someone wasn’t acting in your best interest before, a “rule” like this will do nothing to change it. Best financial advisor strategy? - Be your own advisor. There really isn’t anything else in your life (other than health) that you can control, and that actually matters in your day to day, and future…
I’ve tried various versions of Dragon. I think I tried them right when they came out ‘97 or ‘98. Definitely remember before the whole Y2K craze. And the software back then sucked quite majorly. It is definitely leaps and bounds better now than it was back then, but there are still WAY too many misunderstandings and…

So if everyone stops breeding, and we have zero kids - humanity’s just fine? Your foresight is next to zero. Let me guess - we shouldn’t worry about climate change either, because fuck it we’d be dead in the next 20-90 years so who fucking cares? Keep living in that made up version of reality. And enjoy working 90…
This times a gazillion. France is fantastic in that regard. Actual respect for their workers. I hope they resist this capitalist clusterfuck that is the 90 hour workweek here in the states. Makes people live to work, and not the other way around.
NO! We did not ask for this. What every sane consumer asked for is for Time Warner, COX, Comcast, DirecTV, etc to provide a channel by channel price tag. You want to subscribe to 20 channels out of 250 - you pay for only those channels. I understand ESPN costs more than a channel that reruns 60s sitcoms, and that can…
The heading is worded wrong. This doesn’t tell me the chances of being audited per se. It tells me the chances of being audietted when compared to people in my income bracket. So if you had no income you had a chance of 5.26% ... but overall in the USA how many people file taxes (does that take into account people who…
I stopped reading at 3. Delta.
The problem I have with both services is their “unlimited” back up. If you purchase the single PC license it says unlimited backup on 1 PC. Well I have 1 PC that has about 50TB of storage I’d like to backup. Every time I’ve chatted with a rep online and wanted to clarify it I got Clinton-ed, or Trump-ed (i.e. I was…
I am perfectly content with Win 7 on various machines and have no intention on ever doing 10 again. Hopefully MS gets it right again with 11?12?XX?, whatever?
IF you’re already saving is kind of the biggie. The last thing they’re fapping about on TV is that half of the population has saved less than $10K for retirement. HALF of the population. Pretty sure there’s no good news for them.
I’m sure there are pretty size-able variations depending on location. Like a few locations in Los Angeles are at full capacity no matter of the day or time you go there (who the fu** even works in LA these days?).
The problem I’ve found is that people don’t want to listen. Even otherwise intelligent people would be complete dumbasses when it comes to money. And giving them all the advice you can potentially give them is very often completely fruitless.
Or just don’t use a tax preparer. Unless you’re a very complicated small business, you have lots of varied investments with potentially available loopholes, etc, etc - you do not need a tax person. If you have a business and your tax guy can do some loophole exploitation that will save you $1,000 or more - go for it.
