I see Helmet every time they come through Chicago!

Spoken like someone who won’t suffer when things get a lot worse.

Yes. This is undeniably where they’ve caused the greatest damage. Although the quality of government hiring is certainly going to suffer too due to the crushingly low morale. (Admittedly that’s probably a feature and not a bug.)

Wait, so your point was that this was an unusual thing to deal with? Was this, like, your first day in a city?

Yeah, it gets ugly in a lot of ways. Notice that it’s always “people in the developing world” that are having too many kids, not that those of us over here are using up all the resources.

I don’t much care for Dan Crenshaw. I think Fox News is the worst thing to happen in the history of American media. I fully agree with Omar’s point on the unfair scapegoating of Islam. But “some people did something” IS a minimalist way to describe a day of national trauma. She treats it as a subset of the broader

And yeah their kids be eating that protein slop, but that’s better than starving. All relative to whether you’re “better” than the next guy.

I’m with you, but I think they believe that whether it’s as bad as predicted or not, the best game theory approach is to grab all you can right now lest someone else does so. Dance until the music stops, as they say. Of course that's awful on a group level but makes twisted sense on an individual level.

I mean in theory you could still profit from a sustainable economy, but probably not as immediately and as predictably.

Rich kids, yo

The thing that gets me the most about Republicans and climate change is that you know the leaders and backers of the party believe the science. There’s no way a bunch of highly educated, threat-assessing wealthy guys disbelieve the hard evidence that’s been presented to them. Sure, your Louie Gohmerts and Donald Trump

No doubt, agree with everything you said. It will be an ignominious mention in history, but certainly important.

You still don’t understand what you’re dealing with, do you? The perfect organism. Its structural perfection is matched only by its hostility ... I admire its purity. A survivor...unclouded by conscience, remorse, or delusions of morality.”

This was about the xenomorph, but very translatable!

It can be both!

Oof - not feeling so good about that one, Matt.

I too am completely baffled by this. I guess I'm just underrating their inability to care about appearances?

Frank Rich famously replied, “I don’t own a dog.”

I read a good article that argued he’s the Paul von Hindenburg to Trump’s Hitler.

Totally true. This is Mitch McConnell’s lifelong goal. I mean he’s even stated it.
