I hate that the video is embedded in this article. We're supposed to look down on Reddit, which helped the video rack up 25,000+ views, but how many more views will come from this exposure? It's been removed from Yik Yak and other sources but here it is on Jezebel for posterity. But don't worry; her face is obscured.

There are more important points to be discussed, certainly, but I would like to note that Christie Blatchford is basically Canada's Ann Coulter. Please don't anyone think her narrative is representative of how Canada feels about the multitude of crimes committed against Rehtaeh Parsons.

Any Canadians reading this: if your vote in the next federal election can be bought for the altogether reasonable price of a promise for a national public inquiry into Canada's murdered or missing aboriginal women, then as of this posting your vote goes to the NDP.

Thank you for covering this. That Ottawa Citizen article by Shelley Page is excellent. This is a heart-wrenching day but I wanted to share a little bit of hope I found in an article about Monique Simard and Francine Pelletier, two of the women who were on Lepine's list of women he would have killed if he hadn't run

Peter Mackay is not a politician who has gotten by with his charisma. Like all of Stephen Harper's henchmen, he is a policy wonk through and through. I think he made a general (and obviously inarticulate) statement that was taken to be something it wasn't, I think Thomas Mulcair capitalized on it beautifully, and I

David Silver. I know this because every black student to ever be shown attending West Beverly participated in Donna Martin's dance to it.

Nasri Atweh is of Arab Palestinian descent. What are the rules for Arab Palestinians and reggae? Still just a big ol' No Good?

Ah-yup. Putting on a curly wig doesn't make a person Jonathan Swift, and slapping the word satire on an article doesn't make it more than a failed attempt at humor and edginess.

Real special idea here. Thumbs up.

Ever so slightly off-topic, but also sort of on-topic, this video of a pair of sisters fighting back against harassers on a bus in India has been big news in Canada today.
