To offer a better customer experience for people who buy their console but don't wish to subscribe to XBLG. For example, the last few weeks, I've been playing XCOM on my XBox and switching to my Wii to watch Netflix. Considering MS wants the XBox to be a media center, that doesn't seem like a very effective

Why couldn't MS just move Netflix, Hulu+ and other separately paid for services to the free side of XBL? Couldn't it just as easily be a free add-on to XBL Silver?

I kind of think this was a weird shot at making the Wii more portable - like what they did with the GameCube. It kind of works, clamshell, no stand - but doesn't work in other ways, uhh giant power supply (with no attempt to redesign...)

I'm pretty sure that's not what people are saying. What they're saying is that MS could unbind services that customers pay another company for from MS's pay service, which someone might not necessarily want. I can access Netflix through Wii, PS3, PC, smartphone, etc without paying any sort of additional gateway fee.

All I can see is some muppet-ish bird head...

Obi-Wan jumped out of a flying car and did okay. Which begs the question - do I want science to give me a flying car or force powers first? Since Earth doesn't have space worms, or whatever, yet, science gotta pony up force-like powers!

"Things break when you drop them!!!" It's not news - it's Kotaku!

Trying to think of a good combination of the words sensationalism and kotaku...

Awesome!!

That is rad!!

The more I read about Anita Sarkeesian, the more I think she is both a danger to the medium of video games and any positive change within the medium. She's a sensationalist opportunist that hasn't actually done anything for the community which she was never even a participant in.

So to see what all the hoopla was about - I did some quick research on Das 'Nets. And here's my take on it:

Aren't all MMOs just adventure shopping? BURN!!!!

If you're having money problems, I feel bad for you, son. I got 99 problems, but $28 ain't one.

Hahaha! I was just about to say, "So this is what happened to all of the last decade's hipsters!" When he says "Mind, blown" I truly was taken back to 2009!

Current Gen 4 Evah!!!11!!!

I kinda skimmed this article, but caught on the overworld part. The overworld is part of the atmosphere, which in turn is part of the world building, which in turn is part of the imagination/suspension of disbelief. An overworld makes it feel like I'm in a world without every single square mile being explorable.
