Put in Materia too!

I don't disagree that various mediums of entertainment use violence/conflict/whatnot, but it's always been that way. For example, Westerns were huge in an earlier era of American television. Everybody wore a gun and people got shot pretty much every episode of every show.

We were just playing Ultimate Alliance 2 yesterday, wondering what happened to all the good beat'em'ups, superhero or otherwise.

I don't believe in the desensitizing mechanic. No one has ever suggested there was a sensitizing mechanic to begin with, nor how exposure to virtually interactive stimulation directly affects your (de)sensitized measure. I mean, I'm not here to tell you your opinion is wrong, but, to me, desensitizing is just a buzz

Eh, you're just getting old, hahaha!

I've got an idea: maybe stop holding onto thousand year old PS1 titles like they were your darling love, and sell them for fire sale prices! Nintendo did the same shit ($3-4 for an old dot matrix title, not on your life) while simultaneously having squat for a modern catalog and nearly lost the market for the 3DS.

I halfway think the American site is a parody of the UK site - same layout, ridiculous use of Austin Powers-isms, the clearly not serious look on the dude's face (would guess the parody mastermind). If so, that is hilarious!

He wanted the real French fry experience

If only he had accepted their Farmville requests... That shit is serious!

Word! Or stick they head in an easy bake oven!

Seriously, FPSs do make me want to scream sometimes! But you're exactly right, *it is* the shooter trope that simmers away many, many possible ideas into a bland reduction. Even the Bioshocks and Fallout 3s, which "break the mold", well, by the end I was pretty much over the 'shoot a bunch of stuff' game.

Californians have pretty much ruined Austin. Their culture is a plague!

Nice!

Blizzard, to me, just seems wildly out of touch. Diablo 2 was a sensation! I was swept up in it. Lots of people were. But considering the PS2 was still 6 months away, Diablo 2 didn't have a lot of competition...

How is it?

Well, I think the WiiU's capabilities are more or less conjecture at this point. Some people say it's more, some less, but it's impossible to say at this point.

Yes! Enough with the fucking future! Alternate dimensions too! How about instead of using those tired story crutches for the next major crisis for whatever team, Marvel add back in some character interaction? And I don't mean throw in a new mystery character anytime things feel stale. Cable and Bishop, same guy -

Vampire:TM LARPs were hella fun! The physical aspects were handled via a game mechanic though. It was mainly about conversing, plotting, dealing, influencing, conspiring, etc. Oh, and dressing the part, but I think that's sort of a given.
