Just to the various IV comments below: You're often much better getting an IV put in by a resident, who is doing it all the time, then by someone who at this point always has the people around them doing it for them. Perhaps not in their first month, but generally.

Yeah, the speech to text really is fantastic. That's actually why I originally downloaded it - a friend who's dyslexic swears by Dragon as the only decent speech recognition, and that's what caught my eye when it was free on Amazon. Truth be told I'd even say it's worth the $5.

USPTO.gov, but it's hard unless you've really got the terms down right, and even then you may not find stuff that's only in applicant stage. It's worth getting a reasonable patent lawyer/agent to do the work for you, because it's worthless if not done right.
