What was I thinking?! This is Gizmodo! I need to defend my unfounded point to the death and start throwing out fake degrees that I hold in order to legitimize my terrible views! I DIDN'T MAJOR IN STUXNET-BITCOIN-NET-NEUTRALITY-NUCLEAR-PHYSICS FOR NOTHING!!!

I may be totally off-base here, but I have always wondered if companies like Norton commission hackers to create Malware, scare the population, and then offer the the security programs that will protect us from such attacks.

If I saw, amid the zombie-fueled chaos, one random hero sprinting around on a Big Dog with horns, I would immediately request to ride out the apocalypse with that guy

"Yeah, there is an experimental government flying saucer laying behind us, whats the big deal?"

well, not with that attitude they're not. haha

Given that data processing speeds are probably the biggest issue here, I really want to believe that the conversation from HBO's Silicon Valley about "Middle out" data compression has been a real life conversation at Google to try and make this a reality.

I've thought about how it would even be cool if someone adapted Google Streetview to be saved on a local hard drive (to avoid internet data compression lag) and be able to use Oculus to "drive" down any road in the world (or the moon in the case of Moon Street View. Barrier reef anyone?)

I mean, honestly even if you disable your camera and still click on a Malware email or something that gives access to malicious shit onto your computer, there is little you can do even if you follow these steps... Also, even if there was a red indicator light, if someone has hacked into your computer, that would be

Hahaha you just described my girlfriend and I's dynamic. She has started making me at least SIT with her watching The Bachelorette while I'm coding, and she jabs me in the ribs to make me pay attention

So I drive a Prius with a display that isn't GREAT, but it is good enough for my back-up camera to look moderately clear, but other than that along with climate control and fuel consumption stats, it is pretty useless. However, I heard that there is a hack that allows you to play video through it (no clue how to do

Because what if it emits radio waves, burns skin if it overheats, or suddenly makes you take off running towards a cliff and unable to stop like a malfunctioning Prius?

I feel like this is a reference that I should get, but I don't.

Soooo... Today I learned that this has NOT been a protected privacy all along...

My old office used Microsoft Lync (spelling?). It really helped a lot. I don't think I would want to be friends with all my coworkers on Facebook

This seems like a good place to ask for advice on this:

The +people will shoot them down" argument is absolutely hilarious. That's like when the airplane was invented, saying to the Wright Brothers, "Dude- anytime I see one of these I'm going to shoot that shit."

I somehow just learned last week that it was a TV show now. I was wondering why Netflix kept suggesting the movie to me; turns out its relevant again. Isn't Saul Goodman in it?

"Gentlemen, we have to engineer a newer, COOLER, hearing aid. I propose to you- what is cooler than a person wearing a bluetooth earpiece? Fucking nothing. Thats what." -Exec who spearheaded this project, and no one else.

I totally agree with you on that, and granted that I am somewhat ignorant on the consumer data industry, but I would imagine anybody purchasing data is not only using one source. More than likely, this kind of data is valuable when used in aggregate with other data.

I'm not saying its a good app, or even a "good" investment for that matter. They may have an end goal in mind to get a return on investment here, and I'm just brainstorming what it could be. If I were personally able to invest that much money, I think that the opportunity cost in the market would be too great to

Honestly I think that this is a stupid app, but then again there are stupid people out there. Think of it this way, those investors are not investing in this "idea", they are investing in "real estate" of sorts.
