Master Raul?
Ha, pretty funny—you and I both commented about the scenes with Vasquez and the point-blank range with small arms fire to the head being useless. Somehow I missed your comment when I made mine though.
Against small firearms actually, they are bulletproof, at least in the head. In Aliens, as Vasquez and Gorman get cut off from the group, one xenomorph pops out from the floor, exposing its head, and they fire at it, only to find the smaller calibers bouncing off its grinning skull, and at that point they know they're…
Totally agree, but with a caveat: you have to buy the stronger "model" of them. The basic versions are pretty shoddy, as to be expected—but the pick-a-size and strong versions cost only pennies more, and still beat the prices of national brands every time. Most importantly the unit price goes down exponentially when…
Mobile game by default are generally designed for quick bursts of play. As such, people don't play them for long and subsequently often view them as not worthy of paying for—value does not equal time, much like how people view $15 for a one-time, two hour theatrical release movie as a rip-off.
Ihave to say, reading this entire thread's been fascinating, as I'm an animation history buff (and animator myself). I would also recommend seeking out the little-seen documentary The Sweatbox, a riveting look inside the reworking of The Emperor's New Groove from the original ill-fated film Kingdom of the Sun. I'm…
Works for me!
But that's the problem—he should have quit once his Nickelodeon days were over.
Goddamnit, someone call the Monuments Men!
There's no rule about one post only. Post away!
Attack on Astoria?
Too soon!
"NOBODY STEPS ON A CHOCOBO IN MY TOWN!"
Now all it needs is some yakitty sax and it's absolutely perfect.
Jesus, take long enough to snark a reply? Also, these were AMERICAN tweets, so yes, they were somehow written ahead of time of the actual release date of the film IN AMERICA.
To be fair, Kurosawa used it when it was a humble single-floor station back in 1949.
A trivial misstep on my part. The fact remains it's still an homage to this episode and frankly, a very cool figure. I didn't mention the upcoming figure because its irrelevant to the episode. Also, turning Powerglide into a weapon is just wrong. He's his own robot, not an extension of the original Autobot gestalt.
What, no "The Girl Who Loved Powerglide"? They made cross-species android love cool centuries before Bender Bending Rodriguez did.
