I'm going out on a limb and adding CPU power to the RAM and network list. I'm not sure about consoles, but on PC, Bad Company 2 is a CPU intensive game.

The board in my dad's computer can connect to a phone via bluetooth and when the phone gets out of range it'll lower the power usage. On return it'll bring it back up. I've never heard of something like what your describing, that's a damn fine idea :3
