Borderlands makes extremely tongue-in-cheek videos. Check out some of the other stuff they've posted on YouTube (particularly them helping out with that marriage proposal) to see what I mean.

The first game is also worth playing, but you'll have a lot more fun if you partner up with some people. You'll have even more fun if you partner up with people that you know. It also has New Game+ and some entertaining DLC. I got my money's worth out of it and then some.
