I love this comment. So clever! So thrifty!

I don't think this semantic issue matters, as long as everyone has the same access to it.

I got caught up on that too. My graduate department (not STEM) lost a lot of money while I was there, while the STEM fields just got bigger and richer. Which is good, in a lot of ways, but those fields are fine while other, also important fields, are dying.

Ah, now that you point that out... yes! Where is the rest of the arm?

Kitteh is definitely photoshopped. Although, one of my good friends in college had a recurring dream about a teeny tiny kitty like that.

I would be so happy if crop tops were not a thing ever again. I was watching the first season of Friends last night and kept cringing at the cropped tops. I guess they're just not my thing, regardless of who's wearing them.

Exactly the same. Incredibly awesome. I've said to Mr. S time and time again, "Why doesn't everyone have one of these?!" (well, I know why, but really!)

Well, this isn't at all surprising, seeing as how they evolved with us, as part of something humans were doing. We'd want someone as a "best friend" whose facial expressions we can understand, seeing as that's a way of communicating with us.

And he sort of looks like Brad Pitt when he says that too.

Yuck! That guy sounds like a weirdo creep. Screws and pencils down the toilet?

I prefer to read the word you've typed as bump-its as 'bum-pits'

Thank you! I think we all tend to forget that even famous people are complicated and multi-dimensional. Celebrities! They're just like us! (In that, sometimes they promote awesome causes and sometimes they're shitty). They just have a bigger platform.

This is all I can do: AAAAUUUU! AAAAAUUUUU! AAAAUUUUUU!!!!!!

I would read that so much

Wouldn't an Oz sequel be The Wizard Of Oz, at least as promoted by this movie? Isn't it supposed to be a prequel to The Wizard of Oz (at least theatrically — I know the books are a different story)

I've put considerable thought into this type of question. I've decided that it's not any more acceptable to use second hand fur or leather, and that's because it still promotes the idea that animals are ok to use. The leather or fur is still being promoted as something that's ok to use, even if it's old and pre-used.

ugh x gross x a bajillion

Yes, I've seen this a couple times — a recently pregnant woman is lauded for "suddenly dropping weight," and I think, "Like, a baby amount of weight? Because that's what she gained..." It's so weird.

It's not something I particularly worry about, and I always have fine iron levels when they check. I eat lots of different things. Also, if you are eating spinach for the iron, you should eat it with melon — eating them together allows your body to absorb more iron.

No kidding! And their "Frugal Traveler" frequently recommends hotels at $250+
