Seems like he spent a lot of time writing the ad copy, then failed to proofread the final version. Either way, this thing looks straight and super-tight. With plenty of paperwork and documentation (See the Marti Report), it looks like a spectacular car. Like a mid-sized GT500. Convertible. Sign me up.
Maybe you should read it.
Agreed.
Well played, sir.
I've been saying this for years!
Just a point of contention, but at $17.7K, the Maxton is a bit more than FOUR times the price of yesterday's "Jalopnik Jewel" Miata.
No specific criticism, per se. I just simply don't get that this car comes up as frequently as it does. That's all.
Now that you mention it, I just don't get Jalopnik's love affair with the Miata. It's like an MG/Triumph without a soul.
Spoken like a man who has never seen fire.
For the record, a $300K fire truck is very near the bottom-of-the-barrel. Although it can do everything a $400-$500K custom pumper does, they just simply don't hold up to the amount of work the brothers in Detroit see. For 20 years. That's why big metropolitan departments aren't riding around in say, a Smeal.
This is a brilliant film.
Top Gear needs to drop a piano on that abomination.
I'd just like to say that I love this. Not at $24K, though.
A freakin' Paceman? I don't get it.
As a year-round motorcyclist, I see the operators obstructed vision as biggest offense here. Sure, CA is a nanny-state, and by law he needed to be utilizing a DOT approved helmet, but the head-piece of the rabbit costume makes this a bad decision. Operating in that costume on the highway compounds the issue. …
At 1:14 there's a sweet 308 with a euro front spoiler. That one... Although the carburetor sound of that replica 914GT is awesome!
Although the 2-door XJ is cool, it'd be cooler with the six... And, all things being equal, I'd take the CJ. Especially since it is still utilizing the original steel tub. I'd lose the racing seats and drive it daily. They're not comfortable, or good on gas, but my commute is fairly local, and this thing is very…
Sebastien Loeb will be at the controls this time around...
Honestly, Bentley isn't even that cool.
