The Mustang/Camaro were position as “pony cars” or sub sports cars not muscle cars which were pedestrian models with a hot engine.

I don’t agree with the anthropomorphization, but it is reasonable to feel as though a car is honest or dishonest when comparing how it’s represented and marketed vs. how it performs in reality.
