All I will say is that someone was cutting onions when the Reapers fired off fireworks. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it.
Besides, you don’t cry at the end of Mary Poppins, and Yondu was Mary Poppins, y’all!

It’s terrible that I watched a season of Timeless and don’t remember her in the show. Then again, I don’t remember a whole lot about the show, other than it was involving time travel.
I also never watched 24, even though so many people told me it was a great show and I’d probably like it. I just had other shows I was…
Disney Imagineers have done a LOT for immersion. One of my favorite things that I noticed on riding Rise of the Resistance back in 2020 was when we transitioned to liftoff in the shuttle ride. There’s a scene where you come out and see Poe Dameron’s X-Wing, getting ready to accompany you as an escort as the shuttle…
I tried to watch it, and my wife insisted I turn it off 3/4 of the way through episode 1. It just kept getting dumber and dumber, and some of the jokes were just sad. I mean, Shaggy making all sorts of drug references like he’s not actually doing drugs, but is REALLY interested in it? I couldn’t get through it.
If you…
I’m kind of seeing a change with the Marvel films, to go a little less comedic, at least by standards of the trailers. Case in point, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 trailer - it looks like it could be a somewhat depressing film, especially with hints of a possibility that Drax won’t make it through the film.
This Ant-Ma…
That “show line” is important at Disneyland as well. My wife and I were riding the train around the park, and there’s a point where you can “kind of” see backstage, where the parade floats start moving from backstage near It’s A Small World into the park. There’s actually a railroad crossing that they have to go…
I didn’t realize she did Tess in Last of Us, but I do STRONGLY remember her as serial killer Rosalind Dyer on several episodes of The Rookie. She was a REALLY messed up, sociopathic character, and Annie did an INCREDIBLE job of portraying her.
BOTW being the most popular Zelda game? Hmm...That’s debatable. I’ll still hold that Link to the Past is the most popular due to the fact that it got “rebooted” with A Link Between Worlds, but I’ll accept that it is one of the most popular. :)
Man. I keep hoping for some more...”lighthearted” games. Ratchet and Clank is a great series, especially when you consider the somewhat risque names like Quest for Booty, Up Your Arsenal, and Full Frontal Assault. :)
Another Jak & Daxter title would be nice, but I dunno if that’ll EVER be in the cards.
You’re right - “Influencer” is not a viable job. Neither is athlete, actor, or politician. Yet we have multibillion dollar industries built around those professions - NFL, NBA, MLB, NASCAR, just for United States athletes, Universal Pictures, Disney, Comcast, Warner Bros. for actors, and all of the companies that…
And there are plenty of voice talents that can mimic incredibly well. I’d be certain we’d end up with something pretty close, or we get some sort of “voice changer” that switches their voices up and it gets broken in the multiverse somehow, sort of like the portal gun getting broken, leaving them with the new voices.
I know that there’s a lot of controversy for Song of the South, but I’d like to see it. If James Baskett got an honorary Oscar for it, he must’ve done a great job. Also, I’d like to see why it was racist.
I recently saw some “Banned cartoons” from the Dick Tracy and Warner Bros. era, and there was some REALLY racist…
Oh, I have no problem with sitting down and watching it. It’s just more fun to watch OTHER people trying to do it in a living room full of furniture. :)
Oh shit, how did I miss this??? LOL Thanks! :)
Huh. Disney’s rebooting a Haunted Mansion movie. I think I was one of the very few people who saw the movie (and remembered Eddie Murphy’s unfunny performance in the movie next to Jennifer Tilly’s role as Madame Leota’s head in the crystal ball).
Having eaten there before, and dating a girl in HS who used to work there as a manager, it is NOT something to get excited about. Their hotdogs are “edible”, and it’s the same whether I’ve eaten at the Wienerschnitzel in my hometown of Santee that had indoor seating, the Wienerschnitzel in El Cajon, the…
Hold on - is this a mistake?
LOL funny story about VR setups - about 5 or 6 years ago, Google Cardboard was kind of the start of “VR” setups, with people making a ViewMaster style headset out of cardboard and lenses to simulate it on their smartphones; the app still exists if you want to check it out. :)
Anyway, we went to visit my in laws and…
No, actually, I know that all of the active aircraft carriers in the US fleet run on nuclear power. You know, an “alternative” fuel from diesel and petroleum products? Ten Nimitz class carriers and one Gerald R. Ford class carrier, all powered by the atom. I would think that your focus with military vehicles would…
Something Wicked was (looking back on it now) good. But it also gave me nightmares as a kid, and so I also have a hate for it because of those nightmares.
Black Hole was great, but bizarre - and when I saw it again recently, I had flashes of Zardoz and Barbarella going through my head.
