Thanks - I knew it was opening in April at WDW, but wasn’t sure if it had already been opened or was planned for somewhere in Asia.

Here’s the thing with TRON:

When it came out in the 80's, computer animation was new. Personal computers were the new wave. Disney was also trying to forge new ground with capturing a “teen” and more adult crowd. That’s why we had movies like Watcher in the Woods, Something Wicked This Way Comes, The Black Hole, and

Tron: Legacy had promise. There was a lot to work with, but it just didn’t deliver.

The spinoff series that was done on Disney XD, Tron Uprising, was surprisingly good, though; I really enjoyed that series. It’s a shame that Disney gave it the Netflix treatment and canned it before they could give it a good series

The best thing about The Cloverfield Paradox was that it explained what the monster was and how it got on Earth. That was it.

I was interested in it because I really like Chris O’Dowd ever since I first saw him in The IT Crowd, and was hoping it would be good, but no. At least it tied it together, as far as I was

No, not everyone. There’s going to be some conservative person who will say that we all need to grow up and stop watching cartoons and stop being so childish, because cartoons are for kids. Or they’re being used to subvert kids, like R. Crumb and Ralph Bakshi’s Fritz The Cat. Trust me, I had to hear that from my

It’s not aimed at young kids either, though - I wouldn’t put it up next to Saturday Morning cartoons like The Wuzzles or Kissyfur or Gilligan’s Planet.

It’s just different. And the people who would have enjoyed it when it was first released are clearly now adults; I remember watching it with fondness to see Ryosuke and

“On a very special episode...”

One of my favorite things that Venture Bros. did was when they released the show on DVD - the box art for season 3 was reminiscent of the old Atari game box art. That enamored me to them more than ever. :)

I’d absolutely say that rotoscoping is a form of animation. Look at Bakshi and Frazetta’s 1983 film, Fire and Ice. Well done swords & sorcery type plot, and rotoscoped. My father hated it because Bakshi was the man behind Fritz the Cat, which was a hedonistic and somewhat critical view of politics in the late 60's,

Let me start right off by saying that “adult” animation has weird connotations. First things that I hear from so many people are that they’re thinking of pornographic stuff, which is really NOT what we’ve got. Sure, there’s hentai/yaoi coming out of Japan, but there’s also been GREAT stuff coming out of Asia over the

I’d prefer to see a full on animated version of Scooby Apocalypse. Seeing a cybernetic version of Scooby Doo and the rest of the gang in a wasteland would be fun, and could be much better than the humorless gags that we see in Velma.

I’ve had middling luck with Contigo and Yeti mugs. Everyone raves about how they keep stuff hot/cold, but I’ve found the remains of my coffee getting colder as I drink it out of my two Yeti mugs. Something with a heating element would keep it warm far longer than relying on the liquid to stay warm.

This just sucks. It sucks that they knew about it, it sucks that they denied it. And they should suffer the consequences.

Unfortunately, suffering the consequences of their climate change denial actions  involves everyone else on the face of the planet suffering right along with them, and we don’t really have an answer

Self driving taxis are already in use in Phoenix, courtesy of Waymo. It’s not widespread, but it’s actually in use at the moment. You can pick up a taxi from Sky Harbor Airport and take it anywhere in the Metro Phoenix area.

They’ve had campfire bans in the West for summer months in recent years due to everything being so damn dry. If I remember correctly, the entire state of Colorado had a “no open flame” ban for outdoor fires from Memorial Day through Labor Day a few years back, trying to quell any more forest fires in the state. I

That’s what I thought, but wasn’t sure. If that’s the case, then I’ll not have any problems, except for the one aluminum nonstick frying pan my wife loves. I’d just have to find another nonstick that’s ferrous to replace it.

The one thing I hate about my mom’s gas stove is that if you get an errant piece of food or carbon in the burner, it can clog it up. Happened numerous times when my dad was still alive, and he’d have to flush out the burner because it wouldn’t ignite and burn out.

The other problem that they had was the piezo igniters

Maybe, maybe not - depends on what type of cookware you currently have. It might just mean doing more cooking with cast iron (which I happen to like and have several cast iron pots and pans), but it’s nice to know if that’s the case.

I currently cook on an electric resistance stove, and have done so for the last

That comes the week after CES, when the AVN awards come to town.

Try it on an iPad. :) LOL I think I still have a copy of it on an old iPad 2, and playing a 4 player game of it was rough, but you’d just pass the tablet to the person whose turn it was, and it would reveal their cards to them, so that the others couldn’t see it...
