I really don’t think the problem is that the electric cars get power from coal, it’s that the USA is so reliant on coal power to begin with. It’s a bigger issue, which the government should be trying much harder to mitigate. In other markets, the coal power issue couldn’t even be raised.

Then there’s the downtime (which gets included) of 100 days of servicing or whatever. That counts as lost income because they need another vehicle to cover it. Then there’s all the other maintenance for a 300,000 mile vehicle, which includes overhauling just about everything. Transmission fluid, belts, cost of oil,…
