Sounds like this is a solid case of massive incompetence on the part of the government. Maybe they should stick people on these cases who are actual enthusiasts, then they'll perform the proper research.

I'm genuinely surprised that anyone thought that was a nuke. The only one that could possibly be mistaken for it was the really bad security cam footage, and that's just because the quality is so low.
