It is a good movie, with some truly funny bits in it but, like RedRobin said, it is pretty brutal in places and I felt genuinely uncomfortable at times. Definitely worth a watch.

So. Much. Awesome!

Killing Charlie was one thing, I could live with that, but killing Death!? Boo @ them!! That was a second step too far. Third, if you count killing off Gabriel (and I do).

That was my second thought, right after ‘a stockpile of gold thread for garroting Cybermen with’.

It probably can deflect blaster shots. Now if only she were adept in the use of the force it might be of some value to her.

Is that Sif? I totally didn’t recognize her without shiny armor (or anything) on!

She’s 50? God damn! 50 is a reasonable age for Aunt May but I don’t think the average 50 year old looks like Marisa Tomei.

A better strategy would be for ALL of them to eat hemlock. I guess quails tend not to report back to their brethren on the effectiveness of the strategy though, on account of being dead at the time. :-(

The fact that so many people failed to spot the Red Dwarf reference makes me feel old. :-/

Ah, Sir Digby Chicken Caeser, one of the greatest sketches ever!

They damn well better include him. It has been 20+ years (gawd) since I read that trilogy, and I’ve forgotten a considerable amount of it, but Thrawn remains fresh in my mind to this day. I couldn’t give a rat’s bum about most of the EU being chucked away but the potential loss of Thrawn makes me bitter and sad.

Not really a movie, but Knights of the Old Republic is / was a prequel of sorts and I, personally, loved it to bits. Granted it is set 4000 years before A New Hope...

Great article!

Amen to that. Parker’s origin was centered around his genius, the fact that it ostracized him from his classmates and led him to the science exhibition which gave him his powers. I hope they don’t turn him into another ‘cool kid’ like the last two movies.

I’m... not? Did you reply to the wrong comment because I didn’t say or imply ANY of those things.

Seriously, don’t even JOKE about calling this a work of genius. It is bloody awful and Frank Miller is a demented, sexist dinosaur who should be put out to pasture.

Batality!*

Funny - I have the opposite problem. Whenever my phone rings people yell out “Let it ring!!” so they can hear the rest of the song. So embarrassing. I’d change my ringtone but ... I really do like it. :-(

Because I simply can’t concentrate with all the noise of an open plan office.

I think he’d actually work really well with Capaldi’s Doctor. I’d love to see him come back as a multi-story companion but I doubt that will ever happen. Except in my dreams. :-(
