If a driver accelerates into a motorcyclist, killing them, they should lose their licence (pending a reasonable investigation) along with the potential for criminal prosecution. We have all the data we need from the FSD’s recordings that the software is faulty and should ‘lose its licence’, as now we have the same

Oh thank heavens it’s not me. I was about to throw my computer mouse out of the window. Hey, Erin, does this place even have developers left?

HOW DOES THIS KEEP HAPPENING???

I understand that times are tough for Jalopnik right now, but whoever is currently maintaining your site has made it nigh-unreadable. Whenever you scroll to the bottom of an article, it leaves the article and takes you to a random Root web page. It’s absolutely maddening and I won’t be returning until it’s fixed,

So he thinks EV should be able to stand on their own laurels? That seems reasonable?

Tesla never had lidar, and thus it wasn’t something they ever removed. Humans have two ‘cameras’, no lidar, and no radar. Basically proof that it’s a difficult but surmountable feat to achieve with 7+ cameras and multi-core processors.”

You think a company whose main business is battery technology is going to switch to hydrogen power in 2 years?

lol you’re quoting a nonsense article. No legitimate source is reporting the Model H.

Just imagine how stupid you have to be to want a Tesla, pay the fascist, buy into his false promises, rely on a feature that is half-baked as per usual, and then back it up to something which overhangs the space, knowing the sensor is in the tail end.

I don’t know who actually makes it, but Tesla uses glass that they developed themselves and is proprietary.  It’s called Tesla Glass.  So....

In a way it’s kinda satisfying to see boomers being forced to live in the world they made- they’re the generation that worshiped cars and saw cars as freedom, and they legislated a world where that is reality. Boomers cut spending on public transit, cut spending on infrastructure, cut spending on schools (which leads

Were you going to vote for Biden but when Kamala came along you were like, nope, too much youth and energy here, sure I’d vote for Biden because Anyone but Trump, but Harris is just too much.

Conservatives are supposed to respect private property—no? If somebody parked in one of these redhats’ driveway, he’d be out with an AR-15 “standing his ground.” Of course, for these folks, taking care of themselves outweighs everything else, just like with their master.

What a deeply stupid approach to voting.

“Something very fishy [is] going on here, because I’ve never seen anything like this happen before,” one man said.

I would never buy a car that adamantly proclaims it is NOT a car company.

I love cars and internal combustion engines. Unfortunately, the ICE is literally killing us and we need governmental action to help build suitable replacements and supporting infrastructure.

No, you’re not. The situation of not testing every vehicle sold for operations on public highways effectively creates a ‘some people are above the law’ situation and don’t have to comply with regulations. This is a situation where the NHTSA needs to take a firm hand.  No test results, no clearance to sell.

Shouldn’t the automakers have to give cars for the government to test? Maybe I’m overstepping the reach of our .gov here, but it seems like this should be how all cars are tested. I’m not expecting a niche brand (Bugatti, Rimac, etc.) to give a car for this due to limited production, but I would certainly think
