It’s almost like we cover a wide variety of transportation topics and have done so for years.

You’re right. That’s been fixed. Hopefully, the new lead photo is up to your standards.

I mean yea kinda. If it looks like a duck, sounds like a duck, yatta yatta. Its probably a fuckin duck

What’s wrong with showcasing a real life occurrence?

He is giving a Nazi salute. This was at a Nazi meetup.

That doesn’t make it better. It just proves that these vehicles can’t respond to an unknown situation. Also, your fact-checking (and the article) left out that Cruise then tried to cover it up, giving false information to investigators.

I don’t think this is a hot take. Autonomous driving would be great for getting people who can’t (or shouldn’t) drive away from the controls.

If I lay off everyone, I won’t have to pay any salaries at all.

Ha! Let’s kneecap the one thing (Superchargers) that set Tesla apart from anyone else at this point.

I’m not clear on your purposal here ... do you mean that there should be a statistical “control group” of drivers who:

The issue isn’t whether Teslas crash more often than regular cars- the issue is that Teslas using Autopilot have been involved in a lot of crashes that appear to be related to driver inattention, and that this is an issue because Tesla in particular is overselling the abilities of it’s driver assistance systems by

NHTSA: “Hey Tesla, we think you could make your automated driving system a little safer”

Dear God, please, somebody please, just order Tesla to recall every vehicle they sold and have them disable that thing. It either doesn’t work well enough to be out on the road, or it is just inherently so confusing that people can’t be trusted to operate it. Either way, it needs to be killed.

Pinto: 27 deaths

I thought it was to be expected they’d lose money because of having to build factories and new production lines, etc. It will take a bit to not lose money and recoup those costs, and that “loss” is built into these numbers. They are not making a car for 100k and selling it for 60.

The government didn’t mandate that Ford kill off all of its affordable offerings. Ford was simply following the cynical “build less, charge more” pricing model that a number of car manufacturers thought they could get away with in the wake of pandemic supply chain issues.

...and he is filing legal processes against other people and their “estates”, according to his own logic, what should his punishment be?”

Well... exactly.  The logic breaks down the instant it moves past his own skin. Referring to all the “filings” he’s made against neighbors - well they should do the same thing back! Wonder how he’d react if 20 or 30 people filed “claims” against him in return!

But what if some of these things are actually visitors from other planets, or maybe the unexplored depths of our own oceans? What then, federal government, if we aren’t prepared for any eventuality, we could fall victim to our own hubris.

i bet if you asked them their views on social issues that you likely avoid, you’d discover you were wrong about said difference
