I’ve got my Sambar truck up to 80 mph (on the speedo, so probably a bit less in reality). It’s the super-charged version though which is geared a bit taller in addition to the boost. Most of the manual transmission versions let you turn off 4WD when do don’t need it.

However, if all the cars are self-driving, then they can drive more efficiently too. It would be like every car is a hyper miler.

Here’s the REAL real kicker though...truck drivers are treated like shit (like getting paid by the mile means they don’t get paid for waiting for hours at pickup/dropoffs/border crossings, etc.) and that’s a separate issue from electric vehicles.
