I used to think it was for economic gain - but that class of people literally own everything worth owning. I don’t know their end game. It could be just competing elites, Koch Bros (Tea Party) vs Robert Mercer (Breitbart).. who knows?

Earlier models had the side turn indicator there. The new models moved the indicator to the side mirrors. Instead of changing the bodywork, they covered the hole with said vent.

I prefer the rotary knob over discreet buttons for auto gear selection. There’s no good reason why you would allow someone to go from D to R without passing through N.
