Why are they trying to market a business sedan to artisnal hipsters? Is it supposed to be ironic?

They need to make Lincoln cool again to the audience you mentioned and they likely came down to these artists being popular among that demographic.

No, he is wrong. He gave his car to his friend, on the condition that he be at his beck and call.

Neil is a really good guy and he definitely doesn’t mean to be pretentious about this car thing. I think you guys are over analyzing this article he wrote.

Wives tales are fun, but that’s not a wives tale; it is neither untrue nor superstitious.

At the end of the lease the payoff was around $17k to $19k. At $17k the FJ being3 years old and with 36,000 miles on the odo is still worth $20k on trade, you could sell that to a dealer, or privately.

If you take care of the pennies, the dollars take care of themselves.

Floormats, floormats, floormats!

When you think about it, that actually just makes it more dangerous for the kind of twit who drives on all seasons. Double the go-power but still have the same traction.

Ugh, *But*

Go drive any random all-wheel drive car with all-season tires in the snow, and then go drive any random rear-wheel drive car with snow tires in the snow.

eah people forget AWD only helps people GOING in the snow, but it does jack sh** in improving STOPPING or applying the brakes in slick conditions.

Well that’s ridiculous. Do people not understand that AWD is just one link in a complete system of safe winter driving? It isn’t some magical system?

Yes, there’s no point in having a level 2 or 3 car because you’re still driving the thing.

You could fix that with a vestigial gear shifter that is only connected to the “electronic engine noise generator”. You could even add in some in-seat vibration.

Virginias love strapons.

To be fair, Elio has several working cars and needs to get funding to set up a production line.

A shitty team is better than an imaginary team.

There’s an electric karting place by me, but they can electronically (and remotely) limit the speed, so a 9 year old isn’t going to go as fast as an experienced driver. The first lap or two was slower, and I think you unlock higher speeds as you win races/drive more.

So... what you’re saying is that Elio is farther along than either Faraday Future or Lucid Motors? Tesla has also had it’s share of massive delays, and it’s backed by a billionaire.
