I'm OK for now...but my prognosis isn't good in the long run. Brain tumors recur 99% of the time. I was diagnosed in 2004 and am undergoing my second go through with chemo. I had a recurrence in 2009. No fun—but I am so much better off than other people in the same situation, that at least I am thankful for that!

Totally agree. I had a craniotomy for a malignant brain tumor and it is the scariest thing imaginable. It made me wonder why anyone in their right mind would ever elect to have surgery?!

I frequently get MRIs of my head and my doctors would NOT let me get one while pregnant...even though only my head is in the machine. I can't imagine this would be safe.
