Thanks Mike. So, Jalopnik and DRIVE are not financially connected. That is good to know. So, I'm guessing that plays out as Jalopnik posting a bunch of Drive videos, and Drive having a "Jalopnik" show on the channel. Is that accurate?

Not exactly the same dynamic, but how many current and former Jalopnik staff make money off every video viewed on Drive?

I too am just chiming in to agree with you. Very few people care about offroading, and very few care about body-on-frame macho street cred. But a whole lot of people like to be able to see over parked cars when they are turning onto a main street from a side street. Sight lines sell SUVs. And understandably so.

Oh, I'm not dismissing the 4th Gen F-bodies in any way. But I will say that both compete surprisingly well against a lot of cars that came fifteen years later.

Nice 2nd-gen wagon. I am trying to think of arguments why my 77' wagon is nicer and, well, it isn't, BUT IT IS BROWNER.

Rather than bemoan the fact that a 96 Cobra only had 305 horsepower compared to a modern Mustang V6, compare it to numerous sports coupes and sedans of today, which sixteen years later, still don't feature 300 hp engines. Sure, today features a few high end rides near the 500hp mark, but many of today's sporty

Yeah, I'm on there too, I'm well aware that there are plenty of good folks on Vortex. There are also plenty of people quick to swear at you because they don't get or don't appreciate older Vortex jokes. Or maybe they just like getting upset, who knows.

Seeing that this came from a VWVortex member, I'm guessing he was street racing, took a corner at 35 or 40, had a blow out, sled into the crub, hit 2 fents 2 burshes 4 brick and a trash can. Cuz that's how VWVortex do!

Dude, if you are willing to admit doing something this dumb, you must be pretty cool. Heart-click!

Thanks for all your work here, Tom, it was always appreciated. I don't know if any of us, myself included, realize how hard it is to create two days of content every week by yourself. Like Matt admitted above, it was pretty much a one man operation, and you pulled it off really well. Everyone likes to read features

Hi. I'm Missy Elliot, and I disagree with your perspective.

Just hold on, man, things are going to get better in your life.

Damn, sorry to see you go.

Wow, what a beautifully produced video. Are you making these for television, or another auto-based website out there? I just can't imagine a product this good being made just for, you know, fun and crossposts like this.

1. Following too closely from a light. Sure, there's a delicate balance between following too closely and leaving too much gap, as time is limited and we want to allow as many cars as possible to make it through the light, but still, if we are a few hundred yards out and you're still on me, either change lanes or

I was really hoping to see 5 suped up F250s trying to catch a Civic. Left disappointed.

NICE! I never actually picked up a LunchBox, but I loved it. I had a Fox.

I don't see how anyone could disagree with someone called Rad Mike.

Seriously Matt, I am really impressed and excited about your Reign of Terror as EIC. Jalopnik was already the most popular car blog, but you are quickly making it the best car blog, as well. My only fear now is that you will be wooed away by one of the print mags, because you sir, you know what the dedicated

Is it just me, or with this and the Miata post, is today the beginning of the non-identified advertisement post, or "integrated content" as I think it was called?
