I mentionned 3 up top. Monopoly even had Ridley Scott attached at one point. Candyland had a movie announced in 2012 with Adam Sandler attached. Space Invaders was announced in 2018. Roller Coaster Tycoon in 2010. And I’m sure I could find/think of more but I’m too tired to bother. Still, 6 is not too bad.

Yeah, I’ll file this in the “Will definitely not happen” folder alongside the Monopoly movie, the Tetris trilogy, the Asteroid movie, and 75% of all other movie projects based on games that have next to zero narrative component.

ThorQuill CONFIRMED!

Probably made worse by “normal” peopel probably couldn’t afford to be there....

...It’s like reading a review of a steakhouse written by a vegan.

I’m right there with you. Having depressed Thor sitting around playing Nintendo, drinking beer, but maintaining his buff surfer body would have seemed... off. I thought his story was handled with humor but also with empathy. I’m a fat guy, and I had no problem with any of it.

seriously, holy shit.

So Hot Take: I am actually glad they did Fat Thor, it is actually a fairly well done handling of PTSD and depression and how people tend to deal with those who suffer from it, i.e. not well) CinemaWins actually does a great breakdown of it in his video on Endgame. I’m hopeful this film follows through on it.

Holy christ, maybe next time let someone who actually enjoyed the trailer do a breakdown of it

Ragnarok is my favorite film in the MCU. There have been lots of great movies and moments across their movies, but none are as rewatchable and fun as Ragnarok.

in a non-pandemic world, we would’ve had a cover story on Entertainment Weekly by now, plus about 13 character posters and 80 TV spots.

There are a huge number of people that go see these movies but don't follow release dates closely - if they're going to have a huge open, they have to hit the marketing hard.  Maybe they can do that without new footage, but I think that's probably counterproductive if they want people to show up on opening weekend.

I’d say compromise and go back to trailers that are a month or two out from the release date. It’s exhausting to be inundated with promotional material a year and more out.

Because they want someone else to do all the work but they keep almost all the money.

Scammers getting scammed themselves warms my heart. Crypto bros deserve to die poor and buried in unsurmountable debt.

I think there’s actually a pretty vast difference here.

“2 People were in a room working my life investment.”

Seems like you probably shouldn’t have blown it all on crypto then, loser.

can’t wait for this scam to disappear.
