“awful pantomime camp nonsense”
“awful pantomime camp nonsense”
Miracle Day (which IIRC was only kinda/sorta produced by Davies after a personal tragedy took him away from the show for quite a bit) is when I started realizing that maybe Jane Espenson wasn’t as good as I’d been led to believe by Buffy.
So “What if... Thor was more like the Thor from Norse Mythology?”
The fact that Portman was involved and actually seemed to be enjoying herself gives me enormous hope for Love & Thunder.
An eyerolling absurdist vision. More like an installment of What The..? than What If..?
There’s two words that can sum up this episode quite well: Breather Episode.
Please let it be her Tia Dalma accent! For the LOLz.
Wait. Is someone leaving “What We Do in the Shadows”?
I don’t think I could see a better adaptation of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory than the one with Gene Wilder, I don’t think I could see a better adaptation of The Fantastic Mr. Fox than the one by Wes Anderson, and I don’t think I could see a better adaptation of Matilda than the one with Mara Wilson, so I’m not…
This is weird because my standups involve at least *SOME* interaction from other members. The whole point is a quick pulse check to make sure things are running smoothly. That often requires other people... talking.
I will respect the hell out of that movie if it’s Tom Holland gunning down tons of people while making dad jokes and saying “ooh shit” and “crap” when something goes wrong
Gta 4 is to me a game of not being able to start a new life when the old ghosts, in the shape of violence, chase you. It is even explicitly stated during the game. Now, I also believe that many of the dialogues were tuned at the end of the development to get that message.
Now that’s a fun thought experiment: Given how in love they are with hearing themselves talk/type, how many Randians/Objectivists/Libertarians would be willing to shut the fuck up about it forever in exchange for being able to shoot bees out of their hands?
That is a fascinating critique (in the first linked article, I don’t actually see a video) but I came away with the opposite view.
I love Shadow of the Colossus, but I rally don’t see the whole “integrates what you do and what the game is about almost perfectly” connection.
Bioshock would have been a more interesting game if they’d done what Levine wanted to and made doing the morally right thing harder (where you’d be forgoing Adam by saving the little girls rather than harvest them), rather than roughly equivalent. Apparently the publisher didn’t think that players would try to save…
I personally finish every game I start even if I hate it because I don’t want to be considered a wimp by someone who didn’t think things through very well. I also wake up every day wishing I was dead
Like, I wouldn’t say Bioshock would make me do it, but there are lots of games that have struck me in how poorly they handle things that I don’t want to play them.
A person’s personal taste in media isn’t an indication of “fragility.” That’s just ridiculous.
Finally, a sex doll for people who are fans of Spider-Man and Boxing Helena.
