Yeah, the comment “oh, a good GM can moderate the crunch in 3.5/etc” applies just as well to the “5e doesn’t have anything for partial success!” issue.  A good GM can work with either kind of system. A beginning GM can struggle with either.

New and interesting games are all well and good, but you can barely give someone a primer on a campaign world and expect them pay attention to it. These worlds maintain such a high population of players because you only need a basic passing knowledge of what generic fantasy is, and you can roll up a character.

Alan has a smartphone in the first game. Honestly, if you know a lot of outdoorsy people, they still have flashlights. It’s one thing to have a dinky little flashlight, but hiking-outdoorsy people still like their big heavy duty flashlights.

I got a copy of this game because I worked at Vivendi.  I put it in my 360, started the game up, and 30 seconds into the tutorial, right as it taught me how to melee someone, my 360 Red Ringed.  That was the last time I played the game because I believed it to be cursed.

Yeah it’s not very apeeling.

Pretty much all of their PPVs have been fantastic and are sold on their online store on disc for around $20, so highly recommended if you want to see more of them crushing the big fun shows.

None of the PS5 exclusives will be out for at least a year anyway.

KOTOR is quite good, and was probably the SW-verse highlight for me back in the early 2000s when the prequels were rolling out. The Star Wars games in general were pretty strong in that era.
