Kodi allows multiple people to maintain a library with separate ‘watched’ information without paying for Plex Plus. Also, Plex still requires running a server - my NAS can’t cope with adding Plex to what its already running, and so what’s the point?
Well if I use it for watching video files/listening to MP3s, then its no different than Windows Media Player/Quicktime Player that comes built into Windows/mac OS, just a much nicer interface for a library. The app itself still isn’t illegal at all. Otherwise iTunes is only semi-legal.
