OK, so I’ve got a similar set up to what you had - i7 4770K at 4.2GHz, 1080, 16GB RAM. You seriously got that much performance boost from moving to an i7 7700K and 32GB RAM? How? Every benchmark shows CPU and RAM making very little difference at that point.

The excuse is the cost. Its not remotely cheap to move to a live system (something that would have to handle updates coming in from hundreds/thousands of stores every few seconds without falling over), and not worth the cost to do so. So yeah, they can do better. But the few extra sales will not be worth the cost.…

This is the problem when the systems handling inventory are all old as shit on the backend, and thus not updating live from sales. From my time in retail, they also update based on the delivery coming that day, but they update first thing in the morning regardless of when the delivery actually arrives and is unloaded.

Witcher 3 still works fantastically without any mod though. Fallout etc has mods to improve a load of stuff, and I’m fine with that. But Nier is lacking basic options like a proper 1080p mode, so this is different.

Well personally I’m less willing to pay for a game that I need a community mod to fix, especially at this early stage. A 10 year old game, fine, I can live with that. But right now, if I was gonna play a game that needs a fan mod, it’d be pirated because I’m not paying for a broken game.

In fairness, I’ve not watched live TV with adverts (aside from football) in quite a few years. And I was never saying he was a saint (ironically this advert probably brings him closer than his music career), just thought people should know about this rather amusing time in his life.
