Yes, definitely. The reason France had to do this was because basically everyone was expected to respond to emails at 2am if they came through, regardless of whether it really could have just waited until the next day. If someone tells me I’m going to get fired if I don’t do that (which was often the threat in France)

Electricity? Or those of the plane, since if you’re sending the car there you could just sit in the car.

The Last Guardian, finally getting some time to take it on.

Yeah, I’ve gone back to playing with my PS4 on my monitor now, just because games are too small on my TV now. I can barely read the text or see the map in FFXV if I’m not on my monitor.

Yeah, upgrading a TV or whatever sounds like the best use for this. I’ll be amazed if manufacturers truly adopt it though.

Not available in your goddamn country...

Important quote from the USA Today article that confirms its zombies:

What you forgot to mention was that is $25 for 2500 ‘credits’, and then you spend the credits on how much time you want on what graphics card, 2 credits per minute for a 1060 system (making it about 20 hours) and 4 credits per minute for a 1080 system (10 hours). So, SO bad.

Yeah. At least Geforce NOW on my Shield TV gives you a proper Steam/GOG/uPlay etc key for the game when you buy it on there.

Why so much on PC when its far cheaper on the Shield TV? Still somewhat overpriced, but better - a lot of games available as part of a £7.99 a month subscription, and then newer games like Just Cause 3 and Witcher 3 are a full purchase but you get a Steam/GOG key with them, so even when the service dies, you still own

“Hey, I got an offer elsewhere. I like it here, but they’re offering me £35k a year. Can you match it?”
“We can do £29k.”
“Really? I mean, I know you charge clients £400 a day for me. Could you even do £30k?”
“Nope. Take it or leave it.”
“Well then I’ll leave it.”

Yeah. I’ve seen companies here in the UK try to do those longer schedules occasionally. It just leads to burnout, lower productivity, and people leaving for a company that doesn’t make them sacrifice their life for some company they don’t really give a shit about (because it doesn’t give a shit about them).

Yeah. I’ve been trying to convince my employer that they need to get a bigger office and better desks instead of the overcrowded one we currently have. They want to see performance improvements as a result. The company is a startup that rapidly expanded, and the owners and directors are all about 40-50 years old.

Yeah, I struggle when I see people talk about their parents. I had a great relationship with my dad (stepdad, but he raised me from 1 when biological dad died, so he was my dad), so I do understand how you can have a good relationship with a parent, but he also died so young. So its hard to look at other people with

This sounds very much like my mum. We realised she was an alcoholic when I was about 14, and whilst she got help it never stuck and she continued to hide her drinking - I think the only reason she ever admitted she was an alcoholic was to not hide the heavy drinking and to just do it blatantly in front of us instead.

I know, done it by now :) Love that they went with that. Just wish there was a reindeer and sleigh escape route rather than just the insinuation of it when you escape up the chimney.

In France, the employers have a lot of power over the employees, due to the way their employment contracts tend to work. So you’re going to have to work those out of hours periods, because your contract means you could get fired easily, and with an unemployment rate of over 10% and a rate of around 25% in young

I mean, the wedding dress in Final Fantasy XV is supposed to be designed by Vivian Westwood. Which means she somehow exists in that world.

Not immediately, no. But a few years of seeing that trope everywhere, and a lot of girls start to believe they’re supposed to be rescued and the man is supposed to be the rescuer.
