QA + publishing costs (still costs money for them to release a Vita version). Vita is now sadly doing badly enough that its not seen as worth the cost of even that.

Amazon refuses to support Chromecast. Its up to them to add it to their apps, Google can’t force them. Blame Amazon for demanding you buy a Fire Stick instead.
OK I’ve never seen that sort of notification. Note to self, never buy LG...
No, but in terms of which of us likely knows more about the realities of development, its probably me. I mean, you can speculate. But you’re wrong.
*raises hand* have developed games and normal software too.
OK that’s a completely flawed way to look at how software development works. The code being “smaller” than the graphical assets doesn’t mean anything. And again, even if a project is delayed by assets, throwing more people will still lead to the same issue of too many people working on the same things (and its almost…
I mostly agree, except this. Sometimes it’s good to get someone else’s perspective, a fresh pair of eyes, someone who has not been working on the project for x years. They might come up with an idea you never thought of.
Yeah, but lets not assume Team ICO is on the same scale as Square Enix in terms of teams and resources.
There comes a point where more people can slow it down, especially later on in development. By now, you’d have to spend time getting people up to speed with what’s going on and working out where they fit in, which would take away existing developers times. Also, there’s only so much they can each do at once. The more…
I’ve loved this game so far. Bought it on PS4 because of the PC optimisation issues, and had so much damn fun with it. Fallen behind these days though, so I need to get on with Thailand before USA comes out in a couple weeks.
It really seems to vary. From day one, the game was perfect on mine. I completed it before even reading about the issues people were having. The patches still improved performance for things like the Nvidia special effects but otherwise it was fantastic from the start.
No Man’s Sky ran like shit on PS4 too though, so I’m inclined to blame the game more than the platform.
To the “it can’t do 4K native” people:
Haven’t got it anymore.
I liked the PSP Go but I HATED the fact that so many games weren’t on the store. Crisis Core remains unplayed to this very day...
Yeah, the approach like that on PC is fantastic. It’ll be the same for Bioshock 1 and 2, which will make me replay them.
For those unaware, Shoreditch is the origin point of hipsters in England. Its becoming a bit of a parody itself and a bit of a tourist trap by now, but yeah, the mouth of the hipster river.
Exactly. The planet will still be there. We’ll all be fucked, but a giant hunk of rock will remain fine.
sigh
Lifehacker’s This Is How I Work series asks everyone literally the same questions. Its not about what they’ve actually done, but how they work...
