Went to the launch of the Rolls Royce Wraith at their factory in Goodwood. They have a huge lump of walnut that they use to take the veneer from. It's sliced and matched all round the car. Has to be perfect or it's rejected. The leather shop was similarly OCD. They only use one specific breed of cattle for the

Stuck a fingernail underneath it and can confirm it's not. Unless they did a very very good job of making wood look like plastic, which would be insane!

Not the right side. The correct side!

True. A friend gave a C 250 CDI back to Merc after many issues

Seems fine at first glance. I thought it looked OK but slightly unnatural. When I got home (I tested it for 3 hours then took it back to MB World in Surrey) I looked it up on the internet and discovered it was fake leather. That's kind of worse because it's a fake

You know what. Mercedes' cost cutting measures have ruined their interiors and people are noticing.

It has a bustle

Why won't that man keep still. And the Megane is the fat arsed version. New one is much better looking

Mazda press office just told me its their car and back on the fleet!

I once had a Maserati on test. It was insured by Maserati but the premium was enormous. Took very good care of it

Was a great show. The debate on twitter is do they buy the cars they bump or just give them back to the press office dented?

The new S-Class's wheel is a minger alright. But what about the Ford wheel that completely spoiled 90s DB7s?

Ah the Wankel. Say anything bad about it and people come from out of the woodwork and want to kill you. Max Prince wrote a piece for my website saying he hoped the Wankel wouldn't return, and got a good kicking on twitter and the comments section

Never watched one of these before. Why is the voiceover man shouting? It sounds like an advert rather than impartial show. And why does the pony-tailed test driver look like a car thief???

She took it to be washed in Cheetham Hill, which is a complete dump and rammed with crims

Hi Men and Motors. Will do.

I got to spend 24 hours with an E-type recently and wrote this review. It's a phenomenal car but one that's pretty hard work to drive a lot - although that's part of the passion I suppose.

Peugeot 406 and VW Beetle - about as unautonomous as you can get!
