Yep
After having actually driven one recently I've fallen in love with Maseratis. Good car. Good price. It'll cost you thousands to keep going though and probably lead to divorce
The facts came from a friend who is also a Porsche historian. He's written several books on Porsche as well as a few workshop manuals. He's also amassed a huge amount of knowledge about Porsche history (including that nugget) which will one day be published.
Here's a fact for you. The convertible 944/968 wasn't designed that way. Porsche simply contracted the American Sunroof Company to chop the roofs off the coupe bodyshells. No extra strengthening. For that reason, as well as the shite engine, it's a pipe full of crack
Headline of the week
Yep. It sells by the truckload but I think that's more a style thing. it's a good looking car with boot space and rear seats, plus a choice of engines. It's just not a sports car, which is a shame
Good point. A sports car that steers well would demolish the TT
I started big. A turbo on a Saab 9-3T
Yes and yes to all of this! A sub Boxster Porsche would be brilliant. A cheaper VW on the same platform would be phenomenal. When the GT86 goes topless VW will be kicking itself if they don't do this
356s. Makes me wince
Indy is great. I've watched it off and on - when Mansell was over there, when Just Wilson started out and when Dario was starting out basically. But now it's tough finding it on UK TV that doesn't have ads every 5 seconds.
Normally I'd deride anyone for getting a gold car but Usain Bolt can have whatever colour he wants
Brilliant. Bravo that man!
Big end. And just in case that term isn't used in the US
You've hit the nail on the head there
What you said
*whispers* I prefer the 360/430 shape to the 458
