What's weird to me is Sarkeesian doesn't acknowledge that almost all of these titles are not developed explicitly for English speakers. They are developed in Japan and translated into English after the fact. That has always been a glaring flaw to me in all of her critiques. She even talks about Japanese developers

Anita Sarkeesian is a lot of things, but expert on media she is not. She got a raw deal from some video game commenters (believe me when I say I'm not a fan of nerd politics) but the fascination people have with her perplexes me. Her analysis digs about as deep as an article in Skymall.

The online features are minimal at best. Its primary function is DRM.

I am a gay man. I have long called myself "feminist" according to its basic definition of believing in gender equality. I am also someone who seems to have far more friendships with straight and bisexual women than other kinds of people. It's not conscious selection thing, we just tend to "click" best. What Tracy

Come join the party in New Orleans. You'll do just fine. :)

Best headline typo ever? I was really confused until I read the comments.

The most likely answer is they are seeking cyber sex.

I'm a veteran of the gay male sites (Grindr, Scruff, ManHunt, Adam4Adam, even gay.com back in the day).

It's still awesome of you to adopt a child. Congrats to your family and thanks for your compassion.

It's hard for me to agree with the advice in Letter #2. If the friend is engaging in these affairs, does she also expect her friend to lie for her to cover her tracks? What happens if one of the wives shows up? Getting caught up in someone else's lie totally sucks. I've been burned by that situation enough to say that

Found him! It's Christian Gray from 50 Shades of Gray.

To me the quality varies from episode to episode. I really enjoyed the first couple of episodes, particularly the office drama between the main character and Nina. But I'm not a big fan of the secondary "protagonist" characters (CeCe and Jay). The office characters are a lot more interesting to me.

It's time to take liberalism back from the Laura Becks of the world.

Nice to see Jezebel back to its standard tactic of categorizing gay men as something other than "men." If this were the first time it happened it wouldn't be so annoying but that's a continual feature of this site.

Silly poster. Only white people are afforded a full spectrum of descriptive terms like "lazy." There is only one kind of black person, the long suffering but sassy under the surface who just a need a white person to tell their story kind you see in The Help.

This sounds like a great way to encourage companies to hire temporary contractors instead of permanent employees. Even the most minimal research, by the way, would tell you that the source of the 77% pay gap does not check out. I realize the modus operandi of Jezebel is to remind 20-35 year old college educated white

I'm gay honey. Get in line on the privilege train, and don't lecture me about what debates I shouldn't be part of because I have a penis.

I don't know what objection you could possibly have to "we're not all like that." You don't have to tell me that the politics of the South are often frustrating. But what's also frustrating are elitist regionalists.

I'm gay and live in the South. That's the "real" South—Louisiana—not what you the rest of the country or even Tennessee calls "South." Practically *no one* where I live would ever, in a million years, consider Tennessee "the South," and insisting that everyone must, as you do in your other comments on the basis of the

Pornography is labeled the way it is because that is what people search for and buy. Some people explicitly want to see interracial porn, just like they want to see teens, or milfs, or (as in this case) zombies. It isn't necessarily "saying" anything, except that pornographers want to make money.
