He received more in total compensation than the company disclosed in its filings. Compensation is board approved - if the board was not in on this, it’s outright theft; if the board was in on it, it was securities fraud (as the company/board did not disclose his full compensation to shareholders in violation of

I’m guessing the Thanksgiving midnight bump is people going shopping? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

No, because if you knew Irv, you’d know he didn’t want ANYONE else driving that car. He’s the driver, forever and always. It needs to be retired out of respect. Nobody should be driving that car except Irv.

It doesn’t belong in a museum. Not yet.

I think the xA/xD really were Scion’s min-spec cars. You know, that parts bin car with minimal R&D and build cost. The one designed for the shopper that walks into a dealership and says “Give me the cheapest shit you got.”

I’m partial to ‘My other vehicle is a 401k’

There was an Acura CSX version of these Civics in Canada too.  They weren’t too different than the Civic.

Of course you have to have a comprehensive solution to climate change. I think that’s pretty obvious by now. By reporting on one part of the equation, we’re not saying it’s the *only* part.

We already *are* drastically reducing our coal-powered plants. In 2008 Coal was producing more than 50% of all of our energy, and by 2016 it was reduced to less than 1/3rd as Natural Gas and non-hydro renewables have skyrocketed.

Don’t kid yourself, if there was a asteroid headed to earth by 2040 there would be entire industries devoted to downplaying the probability and urging you to continue life as normal and keep shopping. Politicians would say the science isn’t settled and that there is no need to disrupt business based on a probability.

This one would add $631 billion

I thought this was ridiculous but the more I scroll and read, the more I’m sold. If I have FU money, this wouldn’t even be a consideration - of course I’m buying this.  It’s the story I can tell at the country club that my peers in their S550s and 750is can’t touch - that’s what the $23k is for.

Speaking of touchscreen interiors, it’s disappointing to see Audi copy the trend here and apparently make all the controls touchscreen only on that split screen center stack. Why do automakers think we want to go through menus on a screen while driving to change the temperature and heated/cooled seat functions?

I admire your spirit and sportsmanship guys, but please don’t ever actually spend this kind of money on a Spec V with 165k miles on it.

Maybe at $3,000 it’s a nice price. But $4,700? No dice.

Dropping off your film plastic in a designated recycling bin is definitely better than landfilling it, but the best option is to try to limit your plastic use in the first place. There’s effectively no market for recycled film plastic, so a lot of those bags that you put in recycling bins just end up being shredded,

Mannnnn you already know

A lot of factors combined here.

Those crossovers and SUVs are also DRAMATICALLY more fuel efficient than the same size vehicles were 15 years ago so maybe they are getting the efficiency they want.

I agree. None of the ranges are confidence inspiring, hence “range anxiety” exists, but if this is at a price point where it can become a commuter car without necessitating trading in your old vehicle, it would make sense for just about everyone!
