The SS failed because when did you ever see an ad for it? 99% of the population has no idea it existed in the first place because Chevy never made an attempt to tell them it existed. If Chevy had made some level of an ad campaign to accompany the SS it might have actually sold in respectable numbers.

Because it has been shown that mandatory helmet laws decrease the number of people willing to cycle (cost, comfort, aesthetics), and further gives the impression that cycling is a dangerous activity (most people don’t spontaneously eject from their bikes, it’s when they are hit by a motor vehicle that they fall).

Helmet laws might discourage someone from cycling in the first place. Safe infrastructure will prevent more serious injuries than helmets will. It’s another law for the police to enforce in a discriminatory manor.

Traffic laws were made for cars, where starting and stopping is as simple as pressing your foot on a pedal. The amount of energy it takes to stop and start a bike is much greater—and therefore we rely on momentum to keep us from getting exhausted on our commutes. For conscientious bikers, this means red lights become

Someone posted this a while ago which broke my heart for all the women involved.

100% match IMO

You clearly no little to nothing about ICEs and “exhaust systems.” They’re basically the best they can be. (near impossible) Stoichiometric combustion still produces emissions. There’s a floor on emissions from ICEs.

Nice - I have just invested in regular low cost funds at Vanguard so far, but am intrigued by the idea. Before I even got to your returns section I went to compare Vanguard’s fund to VTI (the total market fund) and was pleasantly surprised. For anybody else interested:

As long as we also end corn subsidies, funding to the Middle East to stabilize oil production, and tax breaks for oil companies I’m ok with this too.

Yep! Breast milk or formula.

What would you expect from a team that hates a Las?

I’m never going to get used to that logo/uniform. Or the team name. Everything about this team seems like it belongs in a big-budget movie about professional hockey that wasn’t able to get an NHL licensing agreement.

But my employer MATCHES my 401K contributions, not my IRA contributions.

Even if it wasn’t, you can guarantee they didn’t use pristine or even decent condition cars. Just fixed up junkers with a quick paint job etc.

Orwellian naming is the one thing republicans do quite well.

Keep the factory.
