Range issues are pretty much a non-factor if you’re an average car owner once the EV can do 150-200 miles on a charge. Most people don’t go 200 miles in a day or probably in most weeks. Many people also already own two cars, if they need to take a longer trip, they can take the ICE car. Or renting a car for a road…

Tire mechanic here. Buy cheap after-market wheels at your peril. Cheap after-market wheels, even aluminum ones, will get destroyed by corrosion and road abuse much faster than even the least expensive OEM wheels you can find.

I’d think motorcycle tires would be too thick to fit in the narrow slot that’s wiping out these bicyclists.

There’s a level crossing not too far from me where the bike trail running alongside the road swings away, then back to hit the rails squarely. No problemo.
