I've always been the type to just go for the $10-$30 range sunglasses. $450 dollars for sunglasses seems excessive—hell, $100 for sunglasses seems excessive to me, but I suppose the value of things are relative to the customer.

@Redrum4breakfast: Exactly what I was thinking. I've been following the jailbreakers closely. Aside from geohot who doesn't seem to be in the scene anymore, they claim they have "ideas" and are working on things. Here's to the possibility it's sitting on the burner!

@NorCalAngler: I don't have the image on hand, but based on the "current algorithm", I would bet signal strengths of 1 or 2 bars may not change much.
