With automatics, fuck yes. It’s intrusive even in luxury cars, because it can never start the engine quicker than your foot starts to let off the brake. Jerky and/or delayed starts guaranteed.

Sure, the Tesla will beat the M5 in a straight line, once. Then the system puts it in limp mode because more than one drag race overheats the batteries, while the M5 next to it does its tenth quarter mile.
Actually, that’s the most sorted Aztek I’ve ever seen (and likely will see), wheels and all!
So does this mean Inscription models also have a (not as) huge discount? My thinking is that they wouldn’t actually sell an Excellence for the same or less than an Inscription...
Re: #2 – my friend’s I6 E39 would disagree with you! With its Magnaflow muffler, it sounds soooooo nice. Very smooth and melodic sound, and just the right amount of volume.
It does actually do the repellant thing! Not nearly as much as applying the real deal directly onto your windshield, though, but I do notice a difference nonetheless.
Must you be a US resident to participate? I ask b/c BMW events like these here in Canada cost $1700!
How are these so cheap?? The equivalent event, organized by BMW Canada, is $1700!
Quality means both of those things. Quality is the extent to which something is made well, and you recognize that by how something feels, how long it lasts, etc. It’s not subjective at all.
Another satisfied Roger Jobs customer here. Did a wheel upgrade on my VW: ordered both the wheels and tires through them (OEM wheels + tires from TireRack, they charged me TireRack’s online price for them!). Top-notch service plus reasonable prices (eg. install was only $80). Did a service with them later on and the…
White hides all of those, except rock chips! Source: my car’s grille.
It depends on the car.
I love all of this. Thank you for sharing!
Clearly, not all start-stop systems are made equal... The one in my rental Malibu from a couple years ago was terrible, intrusive, and couldn’t be turned off. Sounds like you tried a much better one, but I don’t think the majority of systems are like that.
So all you can say is “that’s absolute nonsense,” without providing any constructive input of your own... Trolling much?
I wasn’t being literal there: designing any car takes thousands of hours, nobody argued otherwise. Making it better than minimum-spec, however (as with anything else), takes even more time than that.
What are you talking about? Nobody said it wasn’t complicated.
It does cost more to make a good-looking car. A bland design is low-effort and doesn’t take a lot of hours. A good design is taking the time to evaluate every damn crease: that’s more hours, which costs more money!
He probably looked at that and said, “it looks nice enough for what I’m getting paid...”
