Your other posts seem to have been deleted or muted. I can see that you replied but I can not find them anywhere in this conversation. But, are you saying you played NO role in Victim of Xen whatsoever? Is it another person that goes by the name Smolder then?

Okay, you’re not a game developer, so how were you involved with Victim of Xen then? Also, you’re really getting hate mail from an 8 year old Kotaku article?  It seems more like you’re trying to erase any link between yourself and this game for some reason.  The developer name on Steam is literally Smolders.

So many games have gotten crazy expensive, but the horror genre especially jumped.

I’ve spent over $23K on Goodwill’s auction site, almost entirely on video game stuff, so there’s too many to list. But a fairly recent one was a lot of PS1 and PS2 games with Silent Hill 1 & 2, Fatal Frame II, Resident Evil Outbreak File 2, and more. Also a really nice copy of Graffiti Kingdom for PS2 slipped through

I couldn’t believe it when I saw the listing come up. I bid on it, just enough to get it over the reserve, but not close to the final value. If it didn’t have such a unique look I doubt it would have even been noticed by the people working. I buy games from that particular location a LOT and I’ve snagged quite a few

$40ish. Maybe a bit more if you have the misprint version. Check the back, on the word “masterpiece”, some have the letter i all askew.

Goodwill is a non-profit. One of the largest in the world actually.

Presumably it needs a UPC for that to work. Something a loose video game doesn’t have.

They just released a new system this month and they recently unveiled plans for a new Atari hotel in Las Vegas. I think they are a long way from being forgotten.

I generally try to avoid telling people their opinions are wrong. But Metroid Fusion was not just bad, but astonishingly bad? I’ve never played an astonishingly bad Nintendo game. And to date the only Metroid I would even describe as “failed to meet expectations” was Samus Returns. Of course I was playing that during

You should be careful about just repeating things you read in other comments. She’s pro-vax. Endorsing this Neuriva supplement though, is a little sketchy. I have to look into it a bit more, but its certainly not Dr. Oz or GOOP levels of BS, at least. Its from the people who make Airborne and a 30 day supply is under

Zionist, yes. Islamophobe, no.  It is possible to be a Jew and not hate Muslims, just fyi.

Except she’s not actually anti-vax. Her and her kids got the COVID and the flu vaccine this year. The Neuriva she’s touting, are you saying it doesn’t do what they claim it does? Or is this snake oil claim as well researched as your incorrect anti-vax take?

I think I made it very clear I’m aware of the different levels of interest. I also clearly said I think they can and should defend their IP when harm is being done to it. But there’s only two outcomes of people who use a hacked alpha, they still buy it, or they don’t. I’m not convinced there’s a big enough set of

You want the guy to never be able to compete again because of something that had no effect on the outcome, the sponsors, or anything that matters? And no, no serious sport would ban him for something like this.

I’m guessing it didn’t. Doesn’t sound like you would have bought the game anyways. Anyone who is actually going to shell out $40 for a 20 year old game isn’t going to be satisfied by dicking around in an alpha build. But sure, keep defending heavy handed tactics in defense of the all mighty dollar.

Yes, I read the article. But, my point is, who cares they they hacked an alpha build?

I’m aware they can and should defend their IP, when harm is being done to it. But you can’t tell me you honestly believe someone who would have bought the retail version would decide not to because they have a hacked APLHA instead?

I’m a Texas resident and recently I was in a pawnshop doing some shopping. A woman came in with a handgun and tried to hand it to the employee to pawn. The employee asked if it was unloaded and the woman said it wasn’t. She was told to take it outside and unload it, and she responded by asking the correct way to do

I’m having trouble understanding why Blizzard even cares about this? I don’t see how it would cost them sales, and it IS a twenty year old game so it’s not like anyone is going to spoil something. They have plenty to lose from this bad publicity and nothing to gain that I can see.
