DOesnt really matter how they get their subscribers. Advertising is sold based on verified subscriptions, which in GI’s case is 3.5million for the print version. This is why you can get subscriptions to most magazines from discounts sites for like $2 a year.

I saw a post on reddit that made sense to me. They said that with the 7 million subscriber base its in the top ten largest mags in the country, and so the rate its ads sell for should make it a very profitable venture. If you don’t have 19 full time editors to produce around 70 pages of actual content per month.

Have you not seen how angry some dweebs get when a released game doesn’t look like what was shown in a 10 second teaser 3 years before it came out? These companies need to stop leaks if for no other reason than to stop another raging, smelly, gamer mob from boycotting their game, and their personal hygiene.

I think to sell something on Etsy its supposed to be something you “made” correct? You can’t just use it like ebay and sell real games, but if you print the labels and flash the roms, then you’ve now “made” something. Thats always been my definition. There are very few games that can’t be purchased on ebay at almost any time or with a short wait. If one of those really rare games appeared on ebay I guess you could call that “in the wild”.
