I watched the movie first and read the books second. I liked both, but the books are something else.

Read the graphic novels it was based on, fills out a lot of holes and makes some of the more wacky parts of the movie make slightly more sense.

Nope. Seen them for sale. Remember that there are way less import restrictions in Europe than in the US. Many dealers specialize in bringing these in.

Actually, that's supposed to be the mythical horse Arion from Greek mythology, which is also the name of a star (and Starion is, according to Mitsubishi themselves, a contraction of "Star of Orion" which refers to its Sirius engine).
