Devs are the worst offenders when it comes to breaking their machines when they have admin rights.  No blanket admin rights across the company is the best way to keep everything running.  Ask when you need to install something and you most likely won’t get turned down, but you will have to ask.  Sys admin here.

I’m not sure I understand this sentence.  Plane engines are always turned on while taxiing to the airstrip, otherwise the plane can’t move.
